These are draft terms. The effective date will be announced once operator details and service conditions are finalized.

1. Scope

These terms cover the NicoLog app and related website. The operator and contact details are shown in the Privacy Policy. Please review these terms and that policy before use.

2. Features

NicoLog offers photo, smile-score, mood and note records, a calendar, people and group organization, and sharing cards that you can save or share through the operating system. Groups organize records on the same device; they do not provide automatic synchronization or collaborative editing across devices. Features depend on your OS, device and app version.

3. Photos and information about people

Only register photos and text you have permission to use. Explain the use of other people’s photos and facial matching features, obtain necessary consent, and respect their image and privacy rights. Guardians should appropriately manage children’s information. Rights in submitted photos and text remain with you or the original rights holder.

4. Smile scores and identity suggestions

Smile scores help you look back at expressions in photos. They do not assess happiness, personality, health or mental state, and are not medical or psychological diagnoses or advice. Results vary with shooting conditions. Identity suggestions can also be incorrect. Review and correct them as needed.

5. Storage, sharing and backups

App records are managed on your device. Make backups as needed and keep them safe. Deletion, loss or damage to a device, and OS behavior may cause data loss. Before saving or sharing, check the photos, names, dates, locations and destination. Manage exported or shared information at its destination.

6. Prohibited conduct

Do not infringe others’ rights, use facial information without necessary consent, use scores for discrimination or harassment, access systems without authorization, bypass security, send spam through the contact form, break applicable laws or disrupt operations.

7. Changes, interruptions and responsibility

Features may change, pause or end due to maintenance, incidents or changes to operating systems and external SDKs. Relevant notices will appear on the website or in the app. The operator’s responsibility is subject to applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability where prohibited or limit your statutory rights.

8. Changes to these terms and contact

We will announce changes and their effective date through this website or other appropriate channels, and obtain consent where legally required. Please use the contact page for questions.
